The Graham Condon Recreation & Sport Centre is a landmark community facility designed to support both recreational and competitive sport. Located alongside Papanui High School, the multi-purpose development combines a 25-metre competition pool, learn-to-swim pool and indoor sports hall, creating a vibrant hub shared by the school and the wider Christchurch community.

Delivered through a collaborative design and construction process, the project incorporated innovative sustainability initiatives, including an energy recovery system that captures waste heat from a neighbouring supermarket to efficiently warm the pools. Designed with resilience in mind following the Canterbury earthquakes, the facility utilised lightweight construction materials to enhance seismic performance. Recognised with the New Zealand Recreation Association's 'Outstanding Pool' award, the centre remains a valued community asset, with Armitage Williams returning a decade later to undertake significant renewal and upgrade works.
