The St Andrew's College Chapel is an award-winning education facility that honours the legacy of the original chapel while providing a contemporary space for worship, learning and community gatherings. Built on the site of the former earthquake-damaged chapel, the new 750-seat building thoughtfully incorporates salvaged stonework, brickwork and architectural features, preserving the character and history of the original structure.

Working collaboratively with the client and design team, Armitage Williams undertook an extensive value engineering process to deliver the project within budget without compromising the architectural vision or quality of the finished building. Featuring a striking steel roof structure, vaulted ceilings and expansive glazed façades, the chapel has become a significant landmark within the College. Recognised with a National Category Award at the New Zealand Commercial Project Awards, the project reflects a commitment to collaboration, craftsmanship and delivering exceptional educational environments.
